AFFIRMING THE NAME OF ONE OF THE TOP UNIVERSITIES, STUDENTS OF DA NANG UNIVERSITY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE STUDIES (UFLS) \u2013 THE UNIVERSITY OF DA NANG WON THE FIRST PLACE AT THE FINAL SHOWDOWN OF THE 2018 NATIONAL SPECIALIZED ENGLISH OLYMPIC.<\/h2>\n

\n\t\tOn November 11th, at The Final Showdown of the 2018 National Specialized English Olympic (E4US-2018)\u00a0 taken place at University of Languages and International Studies \u2013 Viet Nam National University,Ha Noi; the students of Da Nang University of Foreign Language Studies \u2013 The University of Da Nang had won the glory National First Prize. Within over 4 months, going through 4 challenging rounds, English Olympic was really a great academic \u201cplayground\u201d for students of specialized \u00a0English major from more than 40 universities, colleges and educational institutions all over the nation.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t\t\u00a0<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\"\"<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t\t\u00a0<\/div>\n
\n\t\tThe E4US-2018 National Final Showdown brought together Top 5 of the strongest teams who are winner of: the North regional Round ( 1 team); the Central regional Round (1 team); the South regional Round (1 team); 1 team who has the most exclusive idea and 1 team who won the 2nd Prize at the Regional Final \u00a0( where the most teams joined the Second Round). The five honourable names were called out at the Final Round at Ha Noi ( 30\/11\/2018) : The People’s Security Academy, The Military Science Academy, The People’s Police Academy, Da Nang University of Foreign Language Studies \u2013 The University of Da Nang and Binh Duong University.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t\t\u00a0<\/div>\n
\n\t\tWith the topic of \u201c English in the development of local tourism\u201d, at the Final night, each team had to show a self-made five-minute length video and then presented about their idea, point of view in front of the jugdes (within 10 minutes). Each team had 2 minutes to answer questions from the jugdes and the opponent team. At the end of the game, our UFLS team involved Dinh Van Hieu from class 16CNATM01; Nguyen Thi Bich Phuong\u00a0 from class 17CNA12; Duong Nguyen Tue Giang from class 15SPA02; Nguyen Thi Doan Thanh from class 17SPA01 and Tran Anh Thinh from 17CNACLC01 had performed brilliantly and persuaded all the audience as well as the Jugde with the Final First Prize.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\n\t\t\u00a0<\/div>\n
\n\t\tIn order to obtain this compliment, our UFLS team had overcome 4-month journey and conquering challenges in 4 rounds:<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t\t(1) First round: Location : compete at universities ( July 2018);<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t\t(2) Second round: Proposal: Compete in the Ideas ( August 2018);<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t\t(3) Third round: Spreading: Central regional Final round ( September 2018);<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t\t(4) fourth round: The national Final at Ha Noi ( 30\/11\/2018).<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t\t\u00a0<\/div>\n
\n\t\tThroughout the competition, each team had showed off their creativities and \u00a0dedication to community by their distinctive thoughts of using English to gain promotion for local tourism, thereby draw a colourful picture of our cultural and traditional values, with the beauty of Vietnam\u2019s imposing nature.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t\tBefore that, UFLS team had excellently won the First Prize at the Central Final with the topic: Introducing\u00a0 K20 \u2013 the revolutionary foundation and national heritage \u2013 which was considered in 2010 as the icon of the unbeatable, resilient revolutionary belief of Da Nang people during the American Vietnam war as well as advertising tourism in Da Nang ( The Second prize belonged to University of Economic \u2013 The University of Hue, came after them was the team from University of Foreign language \u2013 University of Hue and the encouragement Prize was granted to both team from University of Ha Tinh and University of Tay Nguyen). Da Nang Youth Union – one off the co-ordinate units in the Organizing Committee – had successfully organized the Central region Final Round ( 25\/10\/2018) and was the supporter for Da Nang University of Foreign language Studies \u2013 The University of Da Nang to select, train and choose the line-up for participating and winning the final award.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\n\t\t\u00a0<\/div>\n
\n\t\tThe Nationwide Specialized English Olympic had carried out the mission of National Foreign language Project – creating chances for students to demonstrate their talent, improve their English skills, cultural \u00a0knowledge and international intergration, in order to take part in the development of foreign language learner community, especially the English language within university students. This year competition had appealed to more than 40 teams from 40 universities, institutions and colleges all over the country. The theme of E4U CONTEST \u2013 2018 is to introduce and promote the image of Vietnam\u2019s tourism to international friends and create oppotunities for students from universities with English skills to devote themselves for the community.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n\t\tCongratulation our University and our UFLS team on their excellent accomplishment. Along with many awards that students of Da Nang University of Foreign language Studies have received from academic contests, language contests, cultural and international intergration contests in 2018, this outstanding achievement in the Natiowide Specialized English Olympic – E4US of our university\u2019s students is the most convincingly evidence that demonstrate the educational quality and scientific study, partly enhances the prestige and the name of Da Nang University of Foreign language Studies (UFLS) in particular and The University of Da Nang (UD) in general.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
