ENGLISH FACULTY CELEBRATES THE NEW YEAR 2018

Just before the New Year Eve of 2018, on the evening of December 31, 2017, the English Faculty held a celebrating party at Van Phuc 1 Restaurant on 30/4 St, Da Nang City, with the participation of members of the English Faculty Family. The year-end meeting of 2017 has witnessed many familiar faces of the former teachers, , faculty’s teachers, University’s delegates, Faculty Union, the alumni. In addition to native language teachers who regularly work at the Faculty, the meeting also welcomes voluntary instructors – Ann Puddu, James Mc Clellan and wife, Thai Kitawatt University’s students who work as interns  at our university. As in any previous party, the party is full of  bustling atmosphere with the presences of the English Faculty’s Association of Husband  and other family members of the lecturers. Particularly, on this year’s festival, English Faculty family received the warm with the participation of many children at different ages from children to those students studying abroad and students of the faculty, especially, the presences of the young children who  for the first time followed their parents to the Faculty party.

 

 

At the party, after the Dean  of the Faculty presented the welcoming  and gratitude speech toward members of the English Faculty family , we sang toghether the ‘Happy New Year’ and ‘Ly ruou mung’ with the harmonies of all generations of teachers, students and their members of families .

 

At the party , there’re  also the choir performances  from subject groups with the theme of Spring  and the  Cooperative World – the theme of English for Translation and Interpretation group performance. The costumes was also one of the factors adding  colors to the competition.Although it was not yet peculiar awarded, Mr. Le Viet Chung, the jury representative has had  confirmation  about  some group’s creativeness in mutiform costume combinations  and about Speaking Groups who had costumes in red colour –  the colour for celebrating Spring.

In the midst of life and work, even though the lecturers and their husbands can not afford much time to practice, their enthusiasm and harmony in every performance with the self-made music  has brought the warm atmosphrere to the  party, help us forget all the daily worries and rushes  or the cold rain out there.

After giving gifts of train tickets for students to return to their homeland on Tet holiday as usual, the  Association of Husbands also promptly contributed 2 choruses and single performances as the background for the dancing parts of the couples and the funny dance of the Big game.

 

With the idea of ​​sharing the joy and messages about anew year, each member brought  a small gift to the party with their wishes for the other members who received their gift.

 

We hope that in the atmosphere  of the Year-end party of English Faculty family as well as the message that the party is intended to tell each member about the sharing, feeling the happiness will  bring  everyone a refreshing and excited to enter a new year with great enthusiasm and joy.
