WORKSHOP ON INNOVATION AND CREATIVENESS IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING

GD & TĐ – In the morning of December 16, University of Foreign Languages ​​Studies (The University of Da Nang) and the Balsamo Outreach for Learning and Teaching NPO Organization (Japan) co-organized the International workshop on Innovation and creativeness in foreign language teaching.
 
 
Speaking at the Opening of the workshop, Dr. Dao Thi Thanh Phuong – Vice Rector of Da Nang University of Foreign Language Studies (The University of Da Nang), said: The International Workshop on Innovation and creativity in foreign language teaching is one of the activities within the framework of the annual cooperation between Da Nang University of Foreign Language Studies (The University of Da Nang) and Balsamo Outreach for Learning and Teaching NPO Organization(Japan). The workshop is not only a forum for lecturers to exchange teaching methods and research methods on teaching, but also an opportunity for researchers, officials, lecturers as well as native and foreign students to interact and cooperate in training, teaching and scientific research  activities.
 
This time International Workshop on Innovation and creativity in foreign language teaching focuses on discussing these basic contents: Linguistics and applied linguistics; Foreign language teaching methods; Evaluating and developing foreign language teaching materials; Examining and evaluating foreign language; Application of information technology on researching and teaching foreign languages ​​ect.
 
Particularly, many speeches and reports successfully  attracted the attention of the delegates such as: Improving students’ reading comprehension by applying samples into teaching; Help students become more active in classes by using the evaluating polls; “Greenglish”  – the Global project to apply “method of integrated content and language learning”; Critical thinking skills at English classes – reasons and methods, Applying critical thinking skills to teach practising interpreting.
